Hi, I'm Ellen Wang, the founder of She Got Bucket. Basketball has always been my passion, and I'm dedicated to creating a community where female athletes feel empowered and supported at every stage of their journey. At She Got Bucket, we're redefining the game together, one bucket at a time

Our Committee Lead
Event Committee Lead, Founding Member
Lin Yang
Lin Yang leads the planning and organization of basketball events, including national and regional tournaments, summer events, and camps. Beyond event coordination, she is deeply involved in training and promoting the sport. As a Senior Research Scientist at UNC-Chapel Hill, Lin also plays as a Power Forward for the UNC Chinese Women’s Basketball (UNCCWB) team.
Event Manager
Vernnica Tseng
Vernnica specialized in project management during grad school, with event planning and logistics experience since college. She spent a summer coaching 8-year-olds in basketball and started organized basketball during her second semester at UNC. After her first She Got Buckets tournament, she fell in love with the game and the organization's mission. Now, she's combining her passion for basketball and PM to create more opportunities for Asian women in the sport.
Project Manager
Lily Jiang
Lily Jiang, an Economics and Business Administration major at UNC-Chapel Hill, leads the Marketing team, supports media members, and drives basketball content. With experience in social media management, video editing, and design, Lily is passionate about showcasing the strength of Asian women in basketball.
Co-project Manager
Nina Guo
In November 2021, Nina participated in her first college women's Chinese basketball game in Washington, D.C. She founded the George Washington University women's basketball team in her junior year, leading to more competition invites and a second-place finish in a New York tournament. In summer 2022, she joined SheGotBuckets as the media team leader, driven by her marketing major and love for the game. She led two successful media projects that gained significant social media attention and hopes to inspire more participation in their competitions.
Fundraising Lead
Yui Cao
Yui is an Economics and Data Science student at NYU who joined She Got Buckets as a volunteer in March 2023. Inspired by the organization’s passion, she became a fundraising volunteer to help with its future growth. You can find Yui on the courts during games, supporting events, and connecting with players. Since joining, she has actively reached out to potential partners to spread She Got Buckets’ mission and empower more women in sports. Yui also collaborates with the media team to amplify members’ voices and document the organization’s journey.

Miro Chen
Miro's unwavering passion for promoting women's basketball has propelled her to the forefront of advocacy, positioning her as a visionary founding member of She Got Buckets. In her pivotal role, she not only spearheads the design and development of the organization's official website but also lends her creative expertise to the crafting of various media products. Miro's commitment goes beyond mere involvement; it is a dedication to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within the realm of women's basketball.
